Drill 1 - No hitting NET - 10 mins

No hitting the net get a feel for the range, give plenty of margin for error not too close to net

  • Cross court Dinks from kitchen
  • Swap sides from Kitchen
  • Same side dinks
  • Both players middle court
  • Kitchen and Base line

Drill 2 - Defend balls aimed at feet or you hit a high ball

  • GET LOW squat / Crouch on 1 knee
  • Keep stable and still
  • Absorb the ball, loose wrist, let the ball bounce of paddle

Drill 3 - Drop then drive from baseline repeat

Drill 4 - Move back and forth between baseline and kitchen while getting ball over net
