5 KEYS to DEFENSIVE MASTERY
Drill 1 - No hitting NET - 10 mins
No hitting the net get a feel for the range, give plenty of margin for error not too close to net
- Cross court Dinks from kitchen
- Swap sides from Kitchen
- Same side dinks
- Both players middle court
- Kitchen and Base line
Drill 2 - Defend balls aimed at feet or you hit a high ball
- GET LOW squat / Crouch on 1 knee
- Keep stable and still
- Absorb the ball, loose wrist, let the ball bounce of paddle
